"You have six billion friend requests."

No, it's not the Facebook page of the most popular person on the planet.

It's one of the taglines for ads promoting humanracebook.com, an interactive extension of Centennial College's Signature Learning Experience.

The site, which launched in July and is still under development, is intended to spark discussions about all the issues, local and global, that are dealt with in SLE.

That means anything from how Fair Trade coffee works to knowing how to recognize and combat racial stereotypes.

"The global citizen becomes aware of the world and their place in it as citizens," the site states.

"A citizen participates in their community, whether it is local or global and takes responsibility for their own actions."

Discussions on the site could be with Centennial students, or anyone, anywhere in the world.
