Guide helps students choose

August 13, 2009

As Grade 12 students begin their final year, it's time to start thinking about which post-secondary school is the best fit for them.

We can help. Our third-annual Insider's Guide to Colleges and Universities in Greater Toronto arrives next month – in print and online.

The comprehensive, one-stop resource offers detailed profiles of the GTA's six colleges and five universities, as seen through the eyes of current students. They describe the ambience, extra-curricular options and quality of teaching, as well as perceived problem areas.

The 2010 edition also features general information, such as how to apply, financing options and a chart listing each school's vital statistics.

For those venturing outside the GTA, the back of the booklet lists information about all other Ontario colleges and universities.

Publishing in mid-September, the print edition will be distributed to most school boards in the GTA. Free copies will also be available at public libraries and in the Star's lobby at 1 Yonge St.

Or access the guide online at thestar.com/schoolsguide, which offers extra features, such as interactive maps and video reports.
