What is RSS?
RSS is defined as Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds are XML code written to deliver "Parent Central" directly to you An RSS channel consists of a list of items, each of which contains a headline, first sentence or two of the article, and a link to a web page on parentcentral.ca

What do I need to get started?
You will need an RSS newsreader or aggregator in order to read the XML code. There are many different types of RSS readers. Many of the programs are free and can be found by Googling RSS readers. We have compiled a list of some of the more popular readers here (opens in a new window).

I have my newsreader now what?
To add a news feed, click on the link RSS beside the news feed you want and a new window will pop-up with an URL already highlighted. Copy the URL so you can paste it into your RSS reader when prompted - your newsreader will have a button or option to "subscribe to" or "add" RSS feeds.

My Yahoo! And Google Reader users.
We’ve made it even easier for users of Google Reader and My Yahoo! to add "Parent Central" RSS feeds. Simply click on the  MyYahoo!  or  Add to Google  button and follow the directions.
